Marvel Universe Live! Age of Heroes comes to the Pepsi Center August 4-6, 2017

Marvel Universe Live! Age of Heroes, the newest production from Feld Entertainment, comes to the Pepsi Center from August 4 to August 6. Tickets are on sale for all six shows through the weekend.

“I’m extremely excited to work on Marvel Universe LIVE! Age of Heroes and bring the talents and powers of these amazing characters with such dimensionality to life,” said Marvel’s chief creative officer, Joe Quesada. “Audiences will be on the edge of their seats as they witness the outrageous stunts and fight sequences in truly a unique experience that puts fans at the center of the action.”

Fans can expect a more artistic take in this show versus previous shows over the last few years. Director James Hadley is a former artistic director for Cirque du Solei.  The Canadian brings a different pedigree to Marvel Universe Live! but don’t expect the fighting of superheroes vs. villains to be abandoned.  There will still be a battle to entertain audiences for a total of 90 minutes.  Two 45

minute parts with a 20-minute intermission is the scheduled performance time.

Taylor Castriota, a Boulder native, has been with the company since 2014.  “This is definitely the most artistic show we have ever had,” said Castriota.  “The visual effects and stunts are amazing.”

“Our tremendously talented creative team and a nearly super human cast, have created a show that brings the grandeur of Marvel to life,” said Juliette Feld, producer of Marvel Universe LIVE! “Age of Heroes creates an experience that immerses families in non-stop action, creating movie-style thrills and jaw-dropping stunts that showcase the powers of your favorite Super Heroes right before your eyes.”

Castriota plays Gamora from Guardians of the Galaxy which is making its debut in the Marvel Universe Live! Shows.  Her makeup takes 90 minutes to apply before the first show of the day.  “I think I will always have green in between my ears,” said Castriota. “It’s all worth it though.  I can’t imagine doing anything else.”

Gary and Taylor Castriota met on the set of Marvel Universe Live! and married in March, 2017 in Estes Park.

It’s a good thing Castriota is doing this as a career.  She met her husband Gary, a carpenter for the show, on the set that includes 150 people.  They married in Estes Park in March, 2017.  The newlyweds consider the others on tour part of their family.  They will spend the next two years on tour together which includes an international tour which begins in 2019.
